Privacy Policy
The short version: Peeza uses the information needed to run community pizza rankings. We do not run behavioural advertising or analytics cookies.
Last updated: 1 October 2026
1. Controller and contact
Peeza is the controller of personal information used to operate this service.
Transparency notice: Peeza’s full legal entity name, postal address and privacy contact email have not yet been supplied. They must be published here before launch so people can exercise their rights directly.
2. Information we collect
- Account: email address, sign-in provider identifiers and security records.
- Public profile: display name, avatar, home city and country.
- Community activity: verdicts, hit-list choices, hidden places, reviews, photos, facts, reports, streaks and timestamps.
- Location: a chosen city and its coordinates. If you request nearby results, the device may provide a precise location for that request; Peeza says when it asks.
- Venue users: claim role, contact details, verification evidence, profile details and Pro requests.
- Technical: IP address, device/browser details, essential session data, security events and service logs.
- Outbound actions: when a menu or order link is opened, Peeza records the venue and link type, not a behavioural advertising profile.
3. Why we use it
- Provide accounts, nearby discovery, verdicts, rankings, hit-lists and reviews under our contract with you.
- Publish the profile and contributions you choose to submit, and respond to requests you make.
- Protect ranking integrity, prevent abuse, moderate reports, secure accounts and improve reliability under our legitimate interests.
- Load optional Google Maps only with your consent.
- Meet legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims where necessary.
You can withdraw optional consent at any time through Cookie settings. This does not affect earlier lawful use.
4. What other people can see
Display names, avatars, verdicts, reviews, submitted photos, community facts and venue profiles may be public. Email addresses, precise account identifiers, private report details, venue claim contact details and saved authentication information are not meant to be public. A home city is less precise than your live device location, but it can still reveal where you are based.
5. Who receives information
We use service providers for cloud hosting, authentication, storage and email delivery. If enabled, Google receives technical data needed to display its map. Apple or Google receive data when you choose their sign-in service. Venue, menu, ordering and social links take you to independent services with their own policies.
We may disclose information where required by law, to protect people or the service, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.
6. International transfers
Some providers may process information outside your country. Where UK or EEA transfer rules apply, Peeza relies on recognised adequacy decisions or approved contractual safeguards, alongside technical and organisational protections.
7. How long we keep it
Account and community data is generally kept while your account is active. Deleted reviews and photos are removed from active display, with limited backup copies expiring on normal cycles. Security logs, reports, claim evidence and transaction records may be retained longer where needed for safety, disputes or law. Anonymous or aggregated ranking totals may remain when they no longer identify you.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive your information, object to certain uses, withdraw consent, or complain to your local data protection authority. UK users can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Peeza may need to verify your identity before acting.
Until a dedicated privacy email and in-app account deletion control are published, use Peeza’s official support channel. This missing contact route must be completed before launch.
9. Children
Peeza is for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If local law requires parental permission for a young person to use an online service, that permission is required. Report an underage account through the official support channel.
10. Security, choices and changes
We use access controls, encrypted connections and restricted storage to protect information, but no online service can promise perfect security. Keep your account secure and avoid posting sensitive information in public reviews.
Browser choices are explained in the Cookie Policy. We will update this policy when practices change and call out material changes in the service.
